Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to cope with the connection of a thin film piezoelectric element with a laminated piezoelectric element in the laminated piezoelectric element, which is used as an actuator, as well as to connect reliably an external electrode and internal electrodes and to prevent the generation of the continuity failure of the external electrode with the internal electrodes and the insulation failure of the external electrode from the internal electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: A conductive film 13 of a two-layer structure, which consists of a layer 13a containing conductive particles 31 and a layer 13b containing no particles 31, is formed on the side surface of a piezoelectric element formed by laminating alternately piezoelectric material films 11 and internal electrodes 12. The particles 31 being contained in the layer being through the layer 13b and are electrically connected with conductive projected parts 16. Thereby, the electrodes 12 and an external electrode 15 become ready to make a continuity with each other.
