To provide a shot ball recovery device capable of preventing the efficiency of separation from being degraded, even if the size of a shot ball loses uniformity due to repetitive use.
A shot ball recovery device includes: a supply chute 34 with the mixture of a shot ball and dust supplied therein; a rotary drum 4 arranged so that an outlet of supply chute 34 may oppose to a peripheral surface; a magnetic separator 32 comprising a magnetic pole generating means 41 arranged in the rotary drum 4 and for generating a magnetic pole to attract the shot ball to a drum surface over a region exceeding a phase of at least 90° from the supply chute in a drum rotating direction; a dust recovery chute 36 for recovering the dust falling from the surface of the rotary drum 4 in the magnetic pole forming region formed by the magnetic pole generating means 41; and a shot ball recovery chute 35 for recovering a shot ball falling from the surface of the rotary drum 4 shifting from the magnetic pole forming region to a non-magnetic pole region.
