To allow a showcase to incorporate a portable lighting electric storage device to have a complex lighting function for display commodity lighting on a normal time and customer evacuation guidance lighting on an emergency time.
An electric storage device 2 is stored in the storage space 111 of the showcase 1 and charged by connecting a charging terminal 24 to an AC 100 V after a store is closed. During opening hours, an illuminating tool 16 is connected to the output terminal 27 of the electric storage device 2 and commodity illumination is performed as a cordless showcase. Since a pair of bar-like surface illumination lights 3 are removably arranged with rubber magnets 31 and the total weight of a secondary battery 23 is restricted to be about 4 kg as a lithium ion battery in the electric storage device 2, a clerk removes the device from the showcase 1 in an emergency time and uses it for the evacuation guidance of customers with the pair of bar-like surface illumination lights 3. The present invention is applicable in the large-scale retail stores.
