To provide a showcase equipped with an illuminating device wherein it is possible to effectively enhance color rendering properties at low cost.

In the showcase, a display chamber is placed in an heat insulating wall having an opening in its front face and a duct is formed between a partitioning wall provided between the heat insulating wall and the display chamber and the heat insulating wall. Cold air is blown out of a blow hole provided at the upper edge of the opening and sucked into a suction hole provided at the lower edge of the opening. An air curtain of the cold air is thereby formed in front of the opening to cool the interior of the display chamber. In addition, the showcase is provided with an illuminating device for illuminating merchandise products displayed in the display chamber. The illuminating device 10 uses a white LED 15 and a red LED 16 as light sources and applies irradiating light from the light sources to the merchandise products through a translucent plate 13.
