To suppress failure due to a substrate temperature increase and minimize power consumption upon substrate protection control by reducing an output of a compressor and increasing a speed of a condenser fan near the substrate to increase a substrate-side wind speed under an environment where a temperature exceeds a specified temperature of a showcase.
In a showcase where a condenser, a condenser fan, a compressor, and a compressor controller are provided as a cooling unit in a machine room formed at a lower part of a showcase body, when a temperature of a heat generating part of the compressor controller 17 exceeds or is likely to exceed a predetermined temperature, a speed of the condenser fan is increased and an output of the compressor is reduced. When the speed of the condenser fan 13a is increased, if a total power of the condenser fan exceeds a capability at a power supply side, the number of rotations of the condenser fan 13b, which does not contribute to the heat generating part of the compressor controller 17, is reduced.
