The showcase comprises: a display stand 1; and a transparent panel 2 which surrounds a display space 3 on the display stand 1 and allows an observer to observe the display space 3 from the outside. An organic EL illumination panel 5 is installed on at least a part of the surfaces of the transparent panel 2 or a frame connecting the transparent panel 2. The organic EL illumination panel 5 may be divided into plural illumination zones, which can individually be lighted by each illumination zone. The showcase may comprise an operation unit for individually operating the lighting of the plural illumination zones.
