PURPOSE: To provide a showcase having a hot plate of high heating efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: A showcase is equipped with a hot plate H and this hot plate H is provided with a heating base 33. Also, a boiler B having a barrel cylinder B1 projected lower than a bottom plate B2 is placed on the heating base 33, and the bottom plate B2 comes in contact with the contact plane 34 of the base 33. Furthermore, the contact plane 34 of the base 33 has a size approximately equal to or smaller than the size of the bottom plate B2 of the boiler B, and the height (h) thereof is approximately equal to or larger than the projection amount of the cylinder B1 from the bottom plate B2.
