A showcase is so constituted that a showcase main body 1 has a canopy part 4 projected frontward from its top front face, a canopy light rail 4b for installing a fluorescent lamp 7 for lighting the shed is laid in the bottom surface of the canopy part 4, and a ballast 9 for the fluorescent lamp is incorporated in its rear. In this case, a storage hole 4b-1 for the ballast 9 is opened in a part of the canopy light rail 4b and a ballast fitting mount 10 equipped with the ballast 9 is brought in contact with the storage hole from the front part and fixed by a fixing screw 11.
