Title:
SHRIKABLE POLYVINYL CHLORIDE FILM FOR PLASTIC BOTTLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04370132
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a shrinkable film for plastic bottle, composed of a composition produced by compounding a polyvinyl chloride resin with a specific plasticizer, having high thermal stability, shrinking stress and rigidity and suitable especially for the after-labeling of a PET bottle shoulder. CONSTITUTION:The objective shrinkable polyvinyl chloride film for plastic bottle has lateral thermal shrinkage of 10-20% by the hot-water immersion at 70 deg.C for 10sec and 55-60% at 85 deg.C for 10sec. It can be produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polyvinyl chloride resin having an average polymerization degree of 800-2,500 (preferably 1,000-1,800) with (B) 2-7 pts.wt. of plasticizers consisting of (B1) one or more kinds of esters selected from dialkyl phthalate, dialkyl adipate and trialkyl trimellitate (preferably 7-12C alkyl ester such as dioctyl phthalate) and (B2) dicyclohexyl phthalate at a weight ratio (B1:B2) of 1:2 to 2:1, forming the obtained resin composition in the form of a film and drawing the film.
