This shroud 10 for a rotor assembly 12 is provided with a fitting ring 26, a rear seal ring 30, a front seal ring 32, and a blade outside air seal 28. The fitting ring 26 is fixed in a casing 14 surrounding the rotor assembly 12, and it contains the first fitting device 38. The blade outside air seal 28 contains multiple main body segments 42. Each main body segment 42 contains the first face 44, the second face 46, a passage 56 provided between the faces 44, 46 and receiving the cooling air, the second fitting device 66, and a column 72 deviating the main body segment 42 into contact with the rear seal ring 30. The first and second fitting devices 38, 66 cooperate to suspend the blade outside air seal 28 on the rotor assembly 12 very proximately.
