Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a shunting structure of a brake pedal which requres no bumper to absorb a striking energy in an engine room.

CONSTITUTION: When the front side of a vehicle strikes, a brake booster 16 fixed to the outer side of the car room side of a dash panel 14 is pushed out to the rear side of the vehicle, so as to push out the dash panel 14. A holding plate 24 formed at the upper end of the dash panel 14 is fixed to a cowl panel 22 through a fixing bolt 28, and in the above striking condition, it is drawn out from a slit 23 while absorbing the striking energy.
