To cope with even a change in container height without replacing a filling nozzle and fill under optimum conditions matched to the properties of a filler, by providing an external pipe in its interior with an internal pipe which freely slides relatively to the external pipe, thereby obtaining a double pipe, and by joining a nozzle body to the sliding internal pipe or the external pipe.
A double pipe 1 comprises a fixed external pipe 1a, and an internal pipe 1b provided so as to freely slide relatively to the external pipe 1a by means of a worm gear mechanism 7. A switching valve 2 is set above the double pipe 1, and a branch pipe 3 is provided at the leading end of the internal pipe 1b and joined, by means of a flexible hose 5, to a shut nozzle 4 for filling fixed to the leading end of a movable body 6 connected to the internal pipe 1b. At the time of filling, a container 8b is set directly below the shut nozzle 4, a pipe conduit is extended by sliding the internal pipe 1b downward, and the filling is carried out with the leading end of the shut nozzle 4 as close to the bottom of the container 8 as possible. Thus, air bubbles mixed in accompanying the filling can be reduced.
