Abstract:

To provide a shutoff releasing tool for a gas meter temporarily allowing the supply of gas as an immediate measure by holding a shutoff valve opened when cause of an anomaly in the gas meter permits gas to flow temporarily.

This shutoff releasing tool 52 is used for a gas meter equipped with a gas meter body 3 having a gas supply port 8 letting gas flow thereinto, a gas outlet port 10 letting the gas flow out therefrom, and a gas passage 14 connecting them, a measurement means for measuring the flow of the gas, and the shutoff valve 16 disposed in the gas passage 14. When an anomaly occurs, the shutoff valve 16 is closed to shut off the supply of the gas. The releasing jig 52 comprises a releasing spacer member 54, and the spacer member 54 is interposed between a valve element 30 of the shutoff valve 16 and a valve seat 28 on the meter body 3 side.
