Abstract:

To provide a camera equipped with shutter in a barrel which can drive the shutter by simple control without changing configuration of electric contacts for data communication.

An image pickup device installed in a camera body takes images by driving a shutter installed in a barrel. A camera processor 20 and a lens CPU 40 comprise communication ports for exchanging signals between them. The camera processor 20 outputs lens control signals. The lens control signals are input to the lens CPU 40 via an interruption port 42 among communication ports provided in the lens CPU 40.
