PURPOSE: To improve the transmission efficiency of driving torque and to eliminate the excess space of a lens barrel by executing the opening and closing driving of a lens barrier in addition to the opening, closing and traveling driving of a shutter blade and/or the driving of a lens with the aid of one driving actuator incorporated in a shutter device.
CONSTITUTION: The driving actuator 1 has a sub-rotating area in addition to a main rotating area where the opening and closing driving of the blade or the driving of the lens is executed. Simultaneously, barrier operation mechanisms 12 and 13 driven by the actuator 1 and a barrier driven to be opened and closed by the mechanisms 12 and 13 are provided to the sub-rotating area. Then, the barrier is driven to be opened and closed by using a driving source incorporated in the shutter arranged to a position near the front end of the lens or it is driven to be opened and closed in the sub-rotating area of the actuator 1. Thus, the barrier is efficiently opened and closed and the space in the lens barrel for transmitting the driving torque is eliminated at the same time.
