Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter fall preventing device compactly settled while being able to stop a shutter curtain satisfactorily.
SOLUTION: This shutter fall preventing device has a braking device 6 for a winding shaft onto which a shutter curtain is wound, a speed increasing gear 7 for doubling and outputting the rotating speed of the winding shaft, and a means for linking the output of the speed increasing gear 7 with the braking device 6. The braking device 6 is actuated by the link means, and braking force generated by the braking device 6 works on the winding shaft directly from the braking device 6 without passing through the speed increasing gear 7.
