PURPOSE: To perform invariably adequate flash photographing by generating a shutter control signal according to a mode signal from a strobe device.
CONSTITUTION: A strobe unit 342 controlled by a photographic film speed setting dial 106, aperture setting dial 108, etc., applies a charging completion signal to a current circuit 346 according to the charging of a main capacitor. Then, the circuit 346 is driven by a changeover switch 146 changing in state according to a mode signal for indicating whether a strobe device is in full-automatic mode or semi-automatic mode to generate a signal CS which controls a shutter speed to 1/60 second only when either a 1/60sec shutter speed in full-automatic mode of a ≥1/60sec shutter speed in semi-automatic mode is selected. Therefore, invariably adequate flash photographing is performed without any deficiency in exposure due to rear light at a window even when flash duration is short.
