PURPOSE: To provide the subject process designed to make an efficient weaving through automatically moving a shuttle to its holding position without the need for loom shutdown by previously incorporating the operational order and direction when changing shuttle-holding position into a shuttle box in advancing shuttle exchange operation to make an automatic replacement.
CONSTITUTION: In a multiple color shuttle weaving process, shuttle exchange operation and warp operation are stored in a floppy disk in advance in accordance with a design diagram where the use range in the weaving direction for wefts is arranged in a multiple color fashion, and based on the information stored, an (n)×(n) shuttle box loom (n≥2) is operated to proceed by weaving automatically. Furthermore, the shuttle operational order and direction in changing the shuttle-holding position in a shuttle box due to change in the arrangement of the wefts are incorporated in the shuttle exchange and stored in the above floppy disk to make an automatic replacement possible, thus avoiding loom shutdown in changing the shuttle-holding position.
