Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose tool for conveyance of a sick or wounded person that functions not only as a stretcher, but also as a multistage bed, a surgery table, and a treatment table, and is foldable to a compact size. SOLUTION: This tool 1 for conveyance of a sick or wounded person is composed of a pair of lengthwise frame members 2, a lateral connecting member hinged to the lengthwise frame member 2 to be foldable, a flexible sheet member 7 connecting between lengthwise frame members 2, and leg members 13 which are connected to the leg supporting positions 11 free to rotate, is enabled to lock with respect to the lengthwise frame member 2 at the folded and stretched positions, and enabled to attach casters at the free ends so as to permit their attachment and detachment. In addition, the upper faces of the lengthwise frame members 2 are provided with openings 15 for engagement of free ends of leg members of another conveyance tool of the same type.
