Abstract:
To restrain an occupant quickly and properly at an initial stage of deployment of an airbag.SOLUTION: A side airbag device includes: an airbag module 20 including an airbag 31 and an inflator 30; a bracket 45 to which the airbag module is assembled in advance; and webbing 40a attached to the bracket and covering at least a part of the airbag module in a stored state. The airbag includes: a first chamber 34 which deploys to the front of a side support part 12; and a second chamber 36 which houses the inflator and deploys on the inner side as seen in a vehicle width direction of the first chamber. A vent hole is provided at a partition part between the first chamber and the second chamber. The webbing is disposed so as to extend from the rear side of the airbag module along an inner surface, penetrate through a first passage provided at a pad 16 forming the side support part, reach the outside of the pad, and reach the vicinity of a front end part of the side support part along an outer surface of the pad.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
