Abstract:
To provide a side body structure of an automobile capable of securely transmitting a load generated at a side collision of the automobile to an engaging member and making the engaging member sufficiently achieve a function for preventing the intrusion of a door.
This side body structure is provided with catcher pin receiving parts 30d, 31a each fixing a catcher pin 26 to a lower part of a door inner panel 22 of a front door 2 and engaged with the catcher pin 26 at the side collision of the automobile on a side sill 30, respectively. A guide rail 14a of a window regulator 14 is provided above the catcher pin 26 and a connection panel 28 connecting the guide rail 14a with the catcher pin 26 is provided in the front door 2.
