Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side light type surface light source device which facilitates assembling work, reduces the number of assembly processes, and besides, can be thinned as a whole made thinner.
SOLUTION: A side light type surface light source device 100 has a light source 40, a reflector member 50, a light guide member 30 and a fixing member 10. The reflector member 50 can reflect a light from the light source 40 and has opposed first end 520c and second end 520a. The first end 520c is disposed so as to project as compared with the second end 520a. The fixing member 10 has a fixing portion body 12 having a support surface (back surface portion 12a) and a reflector-accommodating portion 14 for retaining the reflector member 50. The reflector member 50 can support a reflection sheet 20 and the light guide member 30 by the first end.
