Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a side member assembled in a short time, and saving space: and to provide a side member assembly line.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a side member comprises: carrying an inner component 12 in a standing state into an inner component carrying position 120 provided with space from a welding station 110; carrying an intermediate component 13 in a laid down state into an intermediate component carry-in position 130 provided between the welding station 110 and the inner component carry-in position 120 from outside the inner component carry-in position 120; fixedly welding the intermediate component 13 carried into the intermediate component carry-in position 130 in a standing state into an outer panel 11 carried in the welding station 110; and fixedly welding the inner component 112 carried into the inner component carry-in position 120 to the outer panel 11 which is moved to the welding station 110 and to which the intermediate component 13 is fixedly welded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
