Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the safety by stopping a rotary drum at the time when an abnormal rotation is generated in a motor or the rotary drum, in the clothes dryer for drying clothes by allowing hot air to circulate into the rotary drum driven to rotate by the motor. CONSTITUTION:Hot air is allowed to circulate into a rotary drum 1 for drying clothes by a heat exchange type double blade fan, a PTC heater 3 is provided in a ventilation path to the inside of the rotary drum 1, and the rotary drum 1 and the heat exchange type double blade fan are driven to rotate by a motor 5. The revolving speed of the rotary drum 1 is detected by a rotation detecting means 7, a current of the motor 5 is controlled by a rotation control means 9 and the rotary drum 1 is controlled to a set revolving speed. When an abnormal state is detected by an output of the rotation detecting means 7, the rotation of the rotary drum 1 is stopped by an abnormality protecting means 20, and when abnormality is generated in the rotation of the rotary drum 1 or the motor 5 such as the time when rotation control of the motor 5 becomes impossible, etc., the motor 5 is stopped.
