To provide a sign pile that allows a projecting part from a ground to be pulled or inserted, does not require another tool for being stood on the ground, and prevents the projecting part from the ground from being easily pulled.
This sign pile comprises a pile body 2, a cylindrical holder 3 that is removably engaged with the outside of the lower end of the pile body 2, is buried under the ground, and supports the pile body not to fall it, and a locking mechanism 4 for locking the pile body 2 with respect to the holder 3. The holder 3 has a screw part 17 to be screwed into the ground on its outer periphery. The locking mechanism 4 locks the pile body 2 with respect to the holder 3 not to rotate in the one direction or move axially, and releases the pile body 2 when the pile body 2 is rotated in the other direction with respect to the holder 3.
