To provide a signal analyzing apparatus which displays a spectrogram in three dimensions on the coordinates of which one coordinate axis is allotted to a frequency of a signal being an object of analysis and the other to a time for the analysis, using the amplitude of a component of each frequency as a parameter, and easily sets a desired region in the display so as to enable close observation.
Based on measuring data output by a receiving part 100, a display control part 8 displays the spectrogram showing a change in power on the two-dimensional coordinates of the frequency axis and the time axis, produces on the spectrogram a zone marker enclosed by a frequency range and a time range input by an operating means 12 and displays the zone marker recognizably in a display part 10. Besides, the control part searches in the zone marker for the coordinate position of the frequency and the time showing characteristic power, e.g., peak power, and gives a distinguishable mark to the coordinate position searched for. An arithmetic part 9 determines electric power in the zone marker.
