Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of an image display device driven in a pixel unit to the best by applying correction in which different ways to correct are employed based on the value of an APL(average luminanace level) on a video signal. CONSTITUTION:A digital APL signal applied on an A/D converter 5 by setting as a high-order address, and a digital video signal applied on another A/D converter 6 by setting as a low-order address are inputted to a memory 7, and data corresponding to the address uniquely is outputted as a corrected digital video signal, and next, a timing is arranged by inputting outputted data to a flip-flop 8. Therefore, it is possible to apply the correction in which the different ways to correct are employed on the video signal as intended. In such a way, it is possible to improve the picture quality of the image display device driven by the pixel unit to the best with simple circuit constitution.
