Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generation device capable of reducing electric noise by performing frequency modulation without using SSCG, and a frequency modulation method.SOLUTION: The signal generation device generates a signal that repeats an ON waveform in a predetermined cycle. The signal generation device includes: a delay section for delaying a rising time and a falling time of the ON waveform of the signal to be generated; and a control section which controls a delay time of delay by the delay section so as to change it synchronously with the predetermined cycle. In the signal generation device, the ON waveform of the signal is delayed just for a delay time that is different for each predetermined cycle, such that frequency modulation is performed while changing an apparent frequency of the signal.
