Title:
SIGNAL-PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05284699
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a signal-phase induction motor equipped with a starter which can be composed of inexpensive parts, without using an expensive starting capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A series circuit of an auxiliary coil 2 and an operation capacitor 3 is connected in parallel with the main stator coil 1 of a motor. Furthermore, a series circuit of a diode 4 and a centrifugal switch 5 is connected in parallel with the operation capacitor 3. The centrifugal switch 5 is closed at the start of the operation. Hereby, alternative voltage temporarily changing not so as to become zero in the average value of one cycle is imposed to the main stator coil of a motor, and starting moment is generated. When the motor reaches the scheduled rotational speed, the centrifugal switch 5 is opened. An inexpensive diode 4 substitutes for a conventional expensive starting capacitor.
