Title:
SIGNAL PROCESSING CIRCUIT AND OPTICAL DISK DEVICE HAVING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3843476
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily regenerate a DC component even when feedback amt. of quantizing feedback is constant.
SOLUTION: A signal Sa is a regenerative signal of a write once read many(WORM) disk. The frequency characteristic of regenerative signal Sa is compensated by a waveform equalizer 32, and afterward, amplitudes of various frequency signals constituting the regenerative signal Sa are equalized by a preprocessing circuit 33. The DC component is removed from an output signal Sc of the preprocessing circuit 33 by an AC coupling circuit 34, and its amplitude is controlled to be constant by an AGC circuit 35. Then, an output signal of the AGC circuit 35 is supplied to a quantizing feedback circuit 36 to regenerate the DC component. Since the signal processing circuit is operated to regenerate the DC component by quantizing feedback processing after preprocessing of equalizing the amplitudes of the various frequency signals constituting the regenerative signal Sa, the DC component can satisfactorily be regenerated by making a feedback amt. of quantizing feedback constant even when an amplitude of each individual frequency signal constituting the regenerative signal Sa is different from others by an MTF characteristic of an optical system.
