Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent processing errors in bit allocation for each band in an encoder and a decoder.
SOLUTION: On the encoder side, an LSP coefficient as an input is quantized by a quantizer 10, and a quantized output c1 is generated as an output. At a code book reference unit 13, a code book D1 in which a precessed result has previously been stored is looked up by using a first paragraph of an LSP index n1, and information of bit allocation is generated by bend. The LSP indexes n1, n2, n3 for each quantization stage is fed to the decoder side. On the decoder side, look up of the code book D1 is conducted by the LSP index n1, and backward quantization is carried out, on the basis of the generated information of bit allocation for each band.
