Title:
SIGNAL READ PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3753389
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal read processing system for a solid-state image pickup element coping with even pickup of a dynamic image in which FPN is suppressed with high precision even in the presence of a high luminance object.
SOLUTION: Optically generated charges generated corresponding to an incident light to unit solid-state image pickup elements arranged in a matrix are scanned in horizontal and vertical directions to obtain a signal as a video signal, which is subjected to read processing. The specific line in the vertical direction is changed for each vertical scanning period decided in advance and a dark state signal of each picture element of all effective lines obtained by reading the dark state signal of each picture element just after the optically generated charges of each picture element for the horizontal blanking period of the specific line is stored in a memory 8. Update of the dark state signal of each picture element of all valid lines stored in the memory 8 for each predetermined vertical scanning period is not conducted as to the specific picture element judged that the signal component level of the optically generated charges included in the dark state signal obtained for each picture element exceeds a prescribed level and the dark state signal of the picture element of each line read from the memory 8 is subtracted from a highlight signal of the picture element of each corresponding line.
