To install a relay antenna at a position accurately opposite hereto and to install the antenna while avoiding an obstacle distorting radio wave transmission by providing a means that detects the strength of a radio wave received by an antenna at a receiver side to a signal relay unit.
A BS antenna 120 and a CS antenna 121 respectively receive a satellite broadcast, a block converter 107 converts the received signal into a signal with an intermediate frequency band of 1-2 GHz band and transmitted to a transmitter 101 of the signal relay unit through a coaxial cable 123. An up-converter 103 converts the data signal transmitted to the transmitter with the frequency bad of 1-2 GHz into data with a frequency band of 60 GHz (59-64 GHz), and a transmission antenna 105 transmits the converted data to a receiver 102. A down-converter 104 converts the data received by a reception antenna 1-6 into data with an intermediate frequency of 1-2 GHz and transmits the converted data through a coaxial cable 123 to a block converter 108, where the data are converted into each signal and sent to respective TV receivers. Since the reception antenna has only to be installed to maximize the sound, the installation of the reception antenna is facilitated.
