Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent ringing from being caused and to prevent picture quality from deteriorating by inserting a comb-line filter which uses a line memory into a luminance signal processing system and controlling it properly through a switch. CONSTITUTION:A frame memory 9, subtracters 3 and 5, a band-pass filter 4, and a 1/2 attenuator 8 constitute a comb-line filter 23; and 1/2 attenuator 8 outputs a chrominance signal and the subtracter 5 outputs a luminance signal. Namely, the chrominance signal and luminance signal are separated completely by the comb-line filter 23. Then, the output of the subtracter 5 is inputted to the comb-line filter 24 composed of a line memory 10, a subtracter 12, a band- pass filter 15, a subtracter 16, and a 1/2 attenuator 14. In this line memory type comb-line filter 24, a signal which is inverted in polarity among scanning lines and has a high frequency component appears at the output of the band-pass filter 24, so this is subtracted from the original luminance signal by the subtract er 16 to obtain a luminance signal from which a slanting high frequency compo nent is removed.
