Title:
SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3238448
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a signal transmission device which easily encodes an analog signal.
CONSTITUTION: An analog signal source 10 is connected to an analysis means 12 so that plural parameters are supplied to a bus 14. The analysis means generates reset signals in a different line 23 and they are supplied to a tree encoder 22. The reset signals are applied to the tree encoder before the parameters are applied to the bus 14 so that it starts from the known position of the respective parameter encoding trees. An encoding signal is supplied to a modulator 28 having output connected to a transmitter 30 by a bus 24. A reproduction device estimates the partial value of the parameter by using a probability that the analog signal becomes a signal which is to be reproduced with respective possible encoding sequences. The probability is obtained from the probability density function of the parameter. The tree encoder is arbitrarily arranged so that eight PSK or sixteen QAM modulation trellis encoding is generated.
