Abstract:
To reduce the energy loss during signal transmission via a dielectric waveguide.SOLUTION: A signal transmission system 1a has: circuit boards 10A, 10B; semiconductor packages 12A, 12B including an RF circuit, mounted on the circuit boards 10A, 10B; and a dielectric waveguide 21E. The semiconductor packages 12A, 12B have a package surface 12f, and an antenna 12e formed on the package surface 12f. The dielectric waveguide 21E has a waveguide end surface 21a facing the antenna 12e. An air gap G is ensured between the waveguide end surface 21a and the antenna 12e.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2D
