Title:
SIGNAL TRANSMITTING CABLE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003281943
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a cable which is extended to an arbitrary shape in use and can be used with the same feeling as a normal cable and naturally settling into a specified shape when not in use.

The cable 10 comprises an inner cover 14 storing conductive wire or optical fiber and formed by resin without shape-memory characteristic by heat, and an outer cover 15 coating the exterior of the inner cover in a net state and formed by resin with shape-memory characteristic by heat. The cable can be easily settled into the memorized shape by having the specified shape memorized by heating the outer cover which is covering the exterior of the inner cover in the net state. On the other hand, since the outside cover provided with the shape memory effect is only covering the exterior of the inner cover in the net state, the approximately extended shape, by extending the cable (or by the weight of the cable itself), can be maintained by the effect of the inner cover and can be used in a completely different shape from the memorized shape during normal use as it is extended.
