PURPOSE: To obtain a variable resistance with low power consumption by varying the frequency or duty ratio of a clock pulse of a switched capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: The switched capacitor is connected between an input terminal T1 and the positive-phase input terminal of an operational amplifier 1, and switches S1 and S2 of the switched capacitor are turned on and off by the output signal of a voltage-controlled oscillator 2 and the output signal ' of an inverter 3 respectively. The charging current of the capacitor C2 is determined by the frequency or duty ratio of the clock, so the switched capacitor operates equivalently as a resistance. For this purpose, a voltage VC applied to the voltage-controlled oscillator 2 is controlled to obtain the equivalent variable resistance by varying the frequency of the clock pulses.
