In the signature bundling apparatus connected with the paper folding machine, a signature receiving part H for receiving a signature p on which a necessary signature is made by the paper folding machine is provided on a starting end part side of a table J for moving the signature group. Starting end side movement assisting belts 6 and 6 are placed between the signature receiving part H and movement controlling belts 7 and 7. Rotation speeds of the starting end side movement assisting belts 6 and 6 and the movement controlling belts 7 and 7 are set equal to the feeding speed of the signature by the paper folding machine. A rapid advancement of the movement controlling belts 7 and 7 is rotated based on a separate driving from the starting end side auxiliary belts 6 and 6 for movement. In addition, a guiding slit 1 is opened from the starting end side to the terminal end side of the table J for moving the signature group. A receiving plate tool 2 for receiving the tip of the signature group is fitted to the slit 1 so as to be freely slidable, and a recovery spring 4 is connected with the receiving plate tool 2.
