Abstract:
To provide a method for ensuring the input of authentic software to the controller of an automobile.
This method comprises a step for supplying a pair of keys for enciphering and decoding electronic data, a step for holding the first key (58) in a controller (24) of an automobile or for the controller (24), a step for signing software to be inputted by using the second key (52), a step for inputting the signed software (56) to the memory of the controller (24), a step for checking the signature of the software by using the key held in the controller (24) or the like controller (24), and a step for receiving the inputted software, when the checked result is an acknowledgement.
