To obtain a new silane compound useful for giving cured products excellent in storage stability, rapidly curable when come in contact with moisture in the atmosphere, and having high heat resistance and elastic modulus.
This new silane compound is shown by formula I [Q is a group of formula II (R1 is an alkyl; (a) is 1-3; X is a hydrolyzable group; R2 is an alkylene; Y is NR3, S, O or the like; R3 is an alkyl, aryl or the like); (e), (f) and (g) are each a number ≥0, (e+f+g)≥2; A is a (e+f+g)-valent organic group], e.g. a compound of formula III. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction between a compound of formula IV (G is glycidyl) and a compound of formula V. The second objective moisture-curable resin composition containing the silane compound of the formula I is suitable as a matrix resin for the third objective fiber reinforced composite material, which includes a moisture-cured product as the matrix resin afforded by the above resin composition, is excellent in mechanical properties and useful, in particular, as a prepreg suitable for the repair/reinforcement of concrete structures.
