Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I ((n) is 1-3; (m) is 2 or 3).
EXAMPLE: A compound expressed by formula II.
USE: An underwater antifouling agent having high safety for fishes and shellfishes and excellent antifouling effects with long persistence.
PREPARATION: A 3-substituted propylmethoxysilane expressed by formula III [example; 3-(2-aminoethylamino) propyltrimethoxysilane] and monochloro-acetic acid are used in stoichiometric amounts and reacted in the presence of sodium methylate preferably under reflux for ≥2hr.
