Abstract:
The present invention provides a silane graft resin composition for a coating material of a wire or cable having good appearance, and a wire and a cable using the same. The silane graft resin composition is extruded so as to coat the outer periphery of a conductor, and then the silane graft resin composition is reacted with water to carry out silane crosslinking. The silane graft resin compositionhas silane graft resin obtained by graft-reacting a silane compound with a halogen-free resin using a peroxide, and an additive. Further, the silane compound has an unsaturated bond group and a hydrolyzable silane group, and the unsaturated bond group is a methacryloyl group. Further, the compounding ratio Rc of the silane coupling agent and the peroxide is in a range of 1.5 to 20. Thereby, it ispossible to reduce the localization of the graft portion, and it is possible to suppress an undesired crosslinking reaction due to condensation of silanes in the localized graft portion, and it is possible to provide the coating (insulation layer) of the wire or the cable with good appearance.
