PURPOSE: To prevent density and a spring constant from being increased caused by fatigue of a seat, by perpendicularly arranging main fibers made of thermoplastic synthetic resin and binder fibers perpendicularly to a seat surface, heat- fusing the mutual fibers, specifying the density and the spring constant, and using a composite soundproof material for an automobile floor to which surface pressure is to be applied.
CONSTITUTION: As one example of a manufacture of a folding-type pad, main fibers and binder fibers are mixed to each other, and a web to be obtained through a card machine is folded into a wave shape and fused by hot air. The main fibers made of thermoplastic synthetic resin and the binder fibers are arranged approximately perpendicularly to the seat surface. Since a sheet-like fiber structural body obtained by heat-fusing the mutual fibers, and having the density of 0.01 to 0.45g/cm3 and the dynamic spring constant of 0.1×-106 to 0.5×106N/m has an excellent restoring force and a little fatigue when surface pressure is applied to it, the density is not increased, and the fiber structural body is effective in damping vibration within the low frequency range of 500Hz or less and suitable for a silencer pad for the automobile floor.
