Abstract:
To provide a muffler and cooling facility capable of restricting generated sound volume generated from a draft tube due to jet sound by restricting occurrence of sound itself such as the jet sound.SOLUTION: Muffler and cooling facilities 1 to 3 are constituted by including a first lateral-directed draft pipe 20 and a first vertical direction draft pipe 22 communicated with this first lateral-directed draft pipe 20 for flowing high temperature exhaust gas from an upper side to a lower side. The first vertical direction draft pipe 22 is provided with a cooing water injection device so as to form a liquid flowing film 40 at an inner surface of this first vertical draft pipe 22. A sound field of the exhaust gas passing through the first vertical draft pipe 20 is varied by the liquid flowing film 40 to enable occurrence of jet sound itself to be restricted. Since occurrence of the sound itself can be restricted, it is possible to reduce generated sound produced from the draft pipe caused by jet sound. Due to this fact, it is possible to restrict an installation cost for a sound reducing and cooling facility.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
