Abstract:
To provide silica which can extract as much amorphous silica as possible and can extract as much amorphous silica per hour, an apparatus for producing the silica, and a method for producing the silica, thereby solving the problem.SOLUTION: A method comprises a pretreatment step (S1) of pulverizing a vegetable raw material (9) to obtain a silica source, and a combustion step (S3) of removing carbon-containing impurities from the silica source obtained in the pretreatment step (S1), in which the combustion step (S3) includes a plasma combustion step of supplying oxygen or air into a chamber (1) and burning the silica source in the chamber (1) in a plasma atmosphere.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
