Abstract:

To obtain a reinforced rubber composition having low viscosity, excellent in processability, improved in performances such as abrasion resistance, tear resistance and elastic resiliency after curing and useful for a tire tread, etc., by blending a rubber with a silica, a silica coupling agent and a silylating agent in a specific ratio.

This rubber composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber with (B) 50-100 pts.wt. granular reinforced filler containing 60-100 pts.wt. precipitated silica (B1) and 0-10 pts.wt. carbon black (B2) and having ≥(6:1) weight ratio of components (B1:B2) when the component B2 is used, (C) a silica coupling agent having a part reactive with the component B1 and another part interactive with the component (A), and (D) 0.5-10 pts.wt. silica sililating agent of formula I [R1 to R3 are each a 1-30C primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl or alkaryl; X is Cl, Br, I or a group of formula II, formula III (R4 is R1; A is a group of the formula SiR1R2R3) or a group of formula IV or formula V], so that a molar ratio of components D/C based on a silane functional group is (0.1/1) to (4/1).
