Abstract:
To provide a silica scale preventive that has a greater ability to inhibit silica scale than that of the conventional art and can be used suitably as an inhibitor for, for example, silica scale.SOLUTION: A silica scale preventive contains a (meth)acrylic acid copolymer that has a (meth)acrylic acid (salt)-derived constitutional unit and a sulfonic acid (salt) group-containing monomer-derived constitutional unit, wherein, relative to 100 mol% of all the monomer-derived structures, the sulfonic acid (salt) group-containing monomer-derived constitutional unit is 11 mol% or more; and the weight average molecular weight is 9200 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
