To obtain a silicone rubber hollow fiber having a tensile load (100 modulus) of >5g, an outer diameter of ≤400μm and a film thickness of ≤50μm.
This silicon rubber hollow fiber is produced from a silicone rubber composition comprising (a) 100 pts.wt. of an organpolysiloxane having a viscosity of 10,000-10,000 poise and containing at least two alkenyl groups, (b) 5-50 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane copolymer consisting essentially of triorganosiloxane units of the formula: R3SiO1/2 (R is a nonsubstituted or substituted 1-10C monovalent hydrocarbon group) and SiO2 units and having a triorganosiloxane unit/SiO2 unit molar ratio of 0.6-1.2, (c) an organo hydrogen siloxane containing at least two hydrogen atoms directly bound to silicon atoms per molecule in such an amount that the amount of the hydrogen atoms is 0.5-10 times mole based on that of vinyl groups in the components (a) and (b), (d) a catalytic amount of platinum or a platinum compound, and (e) 10-150pts.wt. of fine powdery silica having a specific surface area of ≥50m2/g.
