Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone rubber composition for building rubber members having excellent preservability and the building rubber members composed of a cured product thereof capable of hydrophilizing the surface of the cured product by irradiation with ultraviolet rays and excellent antistaining properties and good sealing properties and resultantly having excellent weather resistance without causing staining of buildings, joints and parts around the joints when used as a coating, a filling application to the joints or as a solid gasket.
SOLUTION: This silicone rubber composition for the building rubber members comprises particles having a photocatalyst activity and dispersed and contained therein. In the composition, the particles having the photocatalyst activity are subjected to a surface treatment with a compound readily deteriorable with the photocatalyst activity under irradiation with the ultraviolet rays in outdoor exposure.
